Repair Division is comprised of two Machinery Repairmen and 12 Hull Technicians. During the past 5 1/2 months they have spent so many hours repairing and manufacturing parts, standing at Flight Quarters and blowing Heads it would make current horror comic books look like Nursery Rhymes. It is no wonder these rare individuals can only be found in the confines of the "Workshop". Never will anyone see more iron pumped and hot air expelled in any one place than the "Workshop". Never have more dedicated individuals effected more repairs to any one ship. Equipped with mere RTV, teflon tape and hose clamps. Nor has the Navy assembled & trained a more Dedicated, Determined and Prepared group of individuals to accomplish a common goal. During WESTPAC "86-87" R. Div. have had their share of losses & gains. Daily, R Div. has carried out the plan of the day & the spirit of "Train or Die". R. Div.: The HT's take care of the overall Damage Control procedures. Maintenance & training as well as the related repair of hull and structural damage. HT's are skilled in working with wood and metal. The MR's are the ship Machinery Repairman. These men manufacture a variety of precision parts for regular and emergency maint. | |
