PORTS Our journey began 30 April 1982 as we departed Pearl Harbor with the USS RANGER BATTLE GROUP ECHO. Unknown to all of us were the many experiences and places that awaited us. For many of us, this was our first WESTPAC and the excitement of visiting foreign ports and countries gave us a sense of adventure. The ports we visited, the people we met, and the sights we saw are now but memories. But, nonetheless, they are special and vivid ones. |
