Found this site a while back but don't go into it often. Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe and enjoyable New Year. I was on Brewton from Pre-Com until her return from her first deployment back to Pearl ('72-'74). Enjoyed my time on Brewton - was a thrill to be on a new ship - everythinig I was on after that was well worn! :-)
Retired in Oct 1994 from Naval Station Long Beach (the same day the base closed)...
Again, sure hope everyone has a great holiday season...
