I was a Radioman on the Brewton at the time your father was on board. He had just returned from vietnam and told his stories of his time there. I remember him as a quiet individual who had a musical talent with an accordian he played. He never played it in the radio shack, but he did in the chiefs mess. Other chiefs often told me about his playing. At the time that I met him, he as on the verge of retirement and was fond of sharing his plans for retirement with myself and others he wanted to go back home and buy a cabin and live there. I do not know if he did of not since we lost contact with each other after he was transferred.
