Hey Everett where ya living these days ol' diving buddy? Have you ever heard from David Diaz HM1 over the years? Best regards to all the other Plank Owners of the Brewton!
:
I remember the Brewton's first Christmas. Long Beach was her home port.

: While she is no longer in our Navy, our fellow sailor's still serve aboard the great ships of our nation.

: During this season of Christmas, may those of us who no longer "go out to sea", pause for a moment and say a quick prayer for our men and women in uniform, deployed at sea, standing watch on foreign soil, in harm's way, that they may arrive safe at home soon.

: From an old salt, turn soldier (Army chaplain) who still has a place in his heart for sailor's.

: Everett Hayes, YN2, Chaplain (Major) U.S. Army, Retired
