Im very interested in frigate uses and in particular the BattleGroup assignments of the Knox class and specifically USS Brewton. Most experts describe these ships as Protection Of Shipping warships and
virtually deny their use in Carrier Battle Groups.
However I find many references that frigates and in particular the Knox class were integral components of these battle groups.
Any info on the Brewton or other Knox class ships in carrier battlegroups would be much appreciated.
