Hello Shipmates! I was on Brewton (Deck Dept) from Commissioning until just after return to Hawaii in 1974. I stayedin the Navy and made BMCS, CWO$ and retired as a Lieutenant in Oct 1994 from NAVSTA Long Beach - the same day the base closed for good! We travelled from there to Meridian in his Datsun Z T-top (with Husky), then on to San Diego, his new posting. Memorable trip, amazing people, great country. what a priviledge to have know Bubba Brewton. The years we played together at Murphy High School through track, school track and Phi Sigma Chi are memories we will always cherish.
