Hello Shipmates! I was on Brewton (Deck Dept) from Commissioning until just after return to Hawaii in 1974. I stayedin the Navy and made BMCS, CWO$ and retired as a Lieutenant in Oct 1994 from NAVSTA Long Beach - the same day the base closed for good!
I enjoyed all of the "firsts" Brewton got to be part of and enjoyed them all...

The internet is wonderful. My daughter, Becky, found this site before I did. Would love to hear from some former spouses as I was the ombudsperson for a few years. Hope all is well with everyone. I sure miss Hawaii, especially around January in Chicago!!

Hello y'all, I met a naval aviator, Art Kimmel (how many can there be?!), in Butler PA, Christmas 1980. We travelled from there to Meridian in his Datsun Z T-top (with Husky), then on to San Diego, his new posting. Memorable trip, amazing people, great country.
But sadly, have lost touch and would really appreciate current contact details to catch up.
Best regards,
Patrick Fynn.
